Taxonomy
Nannometoicoceras glabrum was named by Kennedy and Cobban (1990). Its type specimen is USNM 423769, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS Mesozoic D12052, Yellowrock Canyon, which is in a Cenomanian marine shale in the Mancos Shale Formation of New Mexico.
