Ptolemaia lyonsi
Taxonomy
Ptolemaia lyonsi was named by Osborn (1908). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is AMNH 13269, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Quarry A (Jebel Qatrani Formation), which is in a Rupelian fluvial sandstone in the Jebel Qatrani Formation of Egypt.
