Proterochampsa nodosa
Taxonomy
Proterochampsa nodosa was named by Barberena (1982). Its type specimen is MCP 1694 PV, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Exaeretodon site, 6 km west of Botucarai hill, which is in a Carnian/Norian terrestrial horizon in the Santa Maria Formation of Brazil.
It was recombined as Barberenachampsa nodosa by Kischlat (2000).
