Taxonomy
Spirifer striatoparadoxus was named by Toula (1873).

It was recombined as Neospirifer striatoparadoxus by Brabb and Grant (1971), Licharew and Kotlyar (1978) and Lee and Gu (1980); it was recombined as Kaninospirifer striatoparadoxus by Kalashnikov (1996); it was recombined as Fasciculatia striatoparadoxa by Lee et al. (2016).
