Taxonomy
Kaninospirifer incertiplicatus was named by Pavlova (1991). Its type specimen is PIN 3385/369 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Khuryin-Chibe-Khuduk Well, Bed 8, Northern Tsagan-Ula Mountains, which is in a Kungurian marine sandstone in the Tsagan-Ula Formation of Mongolia.

It was recombined as Fasciculatia incertiplicata by Lee et al. (2016).
