Taxonomy
Partschiceras ellipticum was named by Westermann (1969). Its type specimen is CAS 12606, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CAS 29017, Wide Bay, which is in a Concavum marine siliciclastic in the Kialagvik Formation of Alaska.
