Taxonomy
Pelobius cretzschmari was named by von Heyden and von Heyden (1866). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Rott (Krantz Bonn coll), which is in a MP 30 lacustrine - large shale in the Rott Formation of Germany.
It was recombined as Hygrobia cretzschmari by Ponomarenko and Prokin (2015).
