Taxonomy
Orthis undata was named by McCoy (1846). Its type specimen is NMING: F7475, a valve (brachial valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. It is the type species of Erinostrophia.

It was recombined as Megastrophia (Protomegastrophia) undata by Cocks (1978); it was recombined as Erinostrophia undata by Cocks and Worsley (1993).
