Taxonomy
Valhallites westforkensis was named by Niko and Mapes (2016). Its type specimen is AMNH 5654, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is ARC-I-540, West Fork, which is in a Pendleian marine shale in the Fayetteville Formation of Arkansas.
