Palaeocypraea suciensis

Taxonomy
Cypraea suciensis was named by Whiteaves (1895). Its type specimen is GSC 5937, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sucia Island, which is in a Campanian marine horizon in the Cedar District Formation of Washington.

It was recombined as Palaeocypraea (Palaeocypraea) squyeri suciensis by Schilder and Schilder (1971); it was recombined as Palaeocypraea (Palaeocypraea) suciensis by Groves (1990); it was recombined as Palaeocypraea suciensis by Schilder (1932) and Groves et al. (2011).
