Eocypraea inflata
Taxonomy
Cypraea inflata was named by Lamarck (1802). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Grignon (Lamarck collection), which is in a Lutetian open shallow subtidal sandstone/sandstone in France. It is the type species of Eocypraea, Eocypraea (Eocypraea).
It was recombined as Eocypraea (Eocypraea) inflata by Schilder (1941), Perrilliat et al. (2003) and Groves (2011); it was recombined as Eocypraea inflata by Cossmann (1903), Squires and Advocate (1986) and Fehse (2013).
