Falco falconellus

Taxonomy
Falco falconella was named by Shufeldt (1915). Its type specimen is YPM 863, a set of postcrania, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dry Creek (Lower Bridger), which is in a Bridgerian terrestrial horizon in the Bridger Formation of Wyoming.

It was corrected as Falco falconellus by Hay (1930) and Lambrecht (1933).
