Taxonomy
Paracervulus christoli was named by Dong (1996). Its type specimen is UM 4052, an other (antler), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Montpellier, which is in a Zanclean marine sandstone in the Sables à Gryphaea virleti Formation of France.
