Taxonomy
Diamantofelis minor was named by Morales et al. (1998). Its type specimen is AD 99'95, a mandible (left mandible with cheek dentition), and it is a 3D body fossil. It is the type species of Namafelis.
It was recombined as Namafelis minor by Morales et al. (2003).
