Taxonomy
Vulpavoides cooperi was named by Hooker (1986). Its type specimen is BM M373570, a tooth (right M1), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Creechbarrow Hill, which is in a Bartonian marine marl/marl in the Creechbarrow Limestone Formation of the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Paravulpavoides cooperi by Harrison (2009).
