Desmatodon hesperis
Taxonomy
Desmatodon hesperis was named by Vaughn (1969). Its type specimen is UCLA VP 1706, a maxilla, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Badger Creek, Fremont County, which is in a Missourian fluvial-lacustrine shale in the Sangre de Cristo Formation of Colorado.
