Pilchenia antiqua
Taxonomy
Pilchenia antiqua was named by Goin et al. (2010). Its type specimen is MPEF-PV 4490, a maxilla (right maxillary with alveoli and roots for M3 and complete P3–M2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is La Cancha, which is in a Tinguirirican terrestrial horizon in the Sarmiento Formation of Argentina.
