Xesmodon prolixus
Taxonomy
Megacrodon prolixus was named by Roth (1899). Its type specimen is mandible with P4-M1, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lago Musters, which is in a Mustersan terrestrial horizon in Argentina.
It was recombined as Xesmodon prolixus by Simpson (1948).
