Taxonomy
Cypraeogemmula warnerae was named by Effinger (1938) [holotype lost.]. Its type specimen is UCMP 33588, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP 3607 - South bank of Cowlitz River at old Gries Ranch, which is in a Priabonian marine sandstone in the Lincoln Creek Formation of Washington.
