Taxonomy
Glaphyrites micromphalus was named by Wagner-Gentis (1971). Its type specimen is RGM-St 167504, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is West of Peña Abismo, north of San Juan de Redondo, which is in a Podolskian/Myachkovian marine wackestone in Spain.
