Taxonomy
Cypraea ohiroi was named by Masuda (1967). Its type specimen is DGS 4598, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locality No. 30. Road side cutting near Koeiji Temple, Otani, Suzu City, which is in a Langhian marginal marine limestone in the Higashi-lnnai Formation of Japan.
