Taxonomy
Trechus eoanophthalmus was named by Schmidt et al. (2016). Its type specimen is Eichmann 452, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber (Eichmann collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Germany.
