Pachybiotherium illuminatum
Taxonomy
Pachybiotherium illuminatum was named by Goin et al. (2010). Its type specimen is MPM-PV 1805, a mandible (right mandibular fragment with m1-2 alveoli and complete m3-4), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Portezuelo Sumich Sur, Pinturas Fm., Lago Buenos Aires, Santa Cruz, which is in a Burdigalian terrestrial horizon in the Pinturas Formation of Argentina.
