Conocypraea brackleshamensis was named by Schilder (1929).

It was recombined as Cypraeacites brackleshamensis by Schilder (1931); it was recombined as Proadusta brackleshamensis by Tracey et al. (1996); it was recombined as Eopustularia brackleshamensis by Fehse (2010).
