Taxonomy
Rostellaria (Rimella) canalifera elongata was named by Weaver (1912) [Rimella canalifera n. var. elongata]. It is the type subspecies of Vaderos.

It was recombined as Rimella canalifera elongata by Weaver (1912); it was recombined as Ectinochilus (Vaderos) elongatus by Clark and Palmer (1923); it was recombined as Rimella elongata by Dickerson (1915) and Squires (2013).
