Kittliconcha cassiana
Taxonomy
Zygopleura (Kittliconcha) cassiana was named by Bonarelli (1927) [= 1894 Loxonema walmstedti (Klipstein, 1843) – Kittl: 169, pl. 8, fig. 5.]. Its type specimen is Geologische Bundesanstalt Unnumbered, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Prati di Stuores, which is in a Carnian deep subtidal mixed carbonate-siliciclastic in the San Cassiano Formation of Italy. It is the type species of Kittliconcha.
