It was assigned to Acirsinae by Sohl (1964), Sohl (1964) and Kase (1984); to Neotaenioglossa by Sepkoski (2002); and to Epitoniidae by Durham (1937), Harris and Palmer (1947), Palmer and Brann (1966), Todd (2001), Wienrich (2001) and Squires and Saul (2003).
