Nudivagus cooperensis was named by Stephenson (1941) [?Nudivagus cooperensis]. It is a 3D body fossil. It is the type species of Tibiaporrhais.

It was recombined as Tibiaporrhais cooperensis by Elder (1990) and Akers and Akers (1997).
