It was recombined as Galeodia petersoni by Conrad (1856); it was recombined as Galeodaria petersoni by Conrad (1865); it was recombined as Cassis (Morio) petersoni by Kellogg (1923); it was recombined as Galeodea petersoni by Schenck (1926), Harris and Palmer (1947) and Beu (2005).
