Taxonomy
Westergaardodina was named by Müller (1959) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm mMid-u O Llde]. Its type is Westergaardodina bicuspidata. It is the type genus of Westergaardodinidae.

It was assigned to Westergaardodinidae by Clark et al. (1981); to Conodonta by Sepkoski (2002); and to Paraconodontida by Bagnoli and Stouge (2014).
