Belodina was named by Ethington (1959) [Sepkoski's age data: O Llvi-l O Ashg-u Sepkoski's reference number: 800].

It was assigned to Conodontophorida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Panderodontidae by Sweet (1988), Leslie (1997) and Zhen et al. (2020).

Leslie 1997Quadrimembrate apparatus consisting of one geniculate coniform, M (eobelodiniform), element and three types of rastrate elements, S, (compressiform),S 2 (grandiform)a, nd S3 (dispansiform); S , elements with shorter radius of curvature and higher base than S2 and S3 elements; S3 element with distinct needle-like denticles that point toward the apex of cusp. All S elements exhibit distinct flaring of anterior-margin profile for short distance anterior of anteriobasal corner.
