Rissoina gerasimovi was named by Faber and Egorov (2015). Its type specimen is Vernadsky State Geological Museum, collection number VI‒215, type number 1659, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

Synonyms
  • Rissoina exigua was named by Gerasimov (1992). Its type specimen is Vernadsky State Geological Museum, collection number VI‒215, type number 1659, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

    It was recombined as Glosia exigua by Guzhov (2009); it was replaced with Rissoina gerasimovi by Faber and Egorov (2015).
