Triton radialis was named by Tate (1888) [DISTRIBUTION: Cenozoic; Southern Australia.]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Austrotriton radialis by Cossmann (1903); it was recombined as Sassia radialis by Beu (2010).
