Taxonomy
Beyrichoceras elabiodiense was named by Korn et al. (1999). Its type specimen is GPIT 1851-67, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 12 km southeast of Dar Kaoua Oasis, which is in an Asbian marine horizon in Morocco.
