Cypraedia blaiaensis

Cypraedia blaiaensis was named by Pacaud and Ledon (2012) [= Cypraea (Cypraedia) elegans "Defr." sensu Fabre, 1939 [non Cypraea elegans Sowerby, G.B.(i), 1823] : 243, n° 135.]. Its type specimen is MNHN.F.R63156, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Blaye, ancienne carrière de l’Octroi (Gironde)., which is in a Bartonian marine horizon in the Calcaire d'Octroi Formation of France.
