Gastropoda - Calliostomatidae
If no rank is listed, the taxon is considered an unranked clade in modern classifications. Ranks may be repeated or presented in the wrong order because authors working on different parts of the classification may disagree about how to rank taxa.
|J. Gründel and H. A. Kollmann 2012||Because of its sinistral coiling, Kiel & Bandel assign Sensuitrochus with some reservation to the Cirridae. However, the oblique and angular aperture suggests a systematic position within the Calliostomatidae, which comprise with the extant genus Sinuator CoTTon & Godfrey another sinistrally coiled taxon (see: Hickman & McLean 1990). Unfortunately, the protoconch is not known and the systematic position therefore remains doubtful.|
