Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
J. Gründel and H. A. Kollmann 2012Because of its sinistral coiling, Kiel & Bandel assign Sensuitrochus with some reservation to the Cirridae. However, the oblique and angular aperture suggests a systematic position within the Calliostomatidae, which comprise with the extant genus Sinuator CoTTon & Godfrey another sinistrally coiled taxon (see: Hickman & McLean 1990). Unfortunately, the protoconch is not known and the systematic position therefore remains doubtful.
