Taxonomy
Domatoceras collinsvillense was named by Niko and Mapes (2016). Its type specimen is AMNH 5783, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is OKD-02, strip pits south of Collinsville, which is in a Kasimovian marine shale in the Lost Branch Formation of Oklahoma.
