Diagnosis

---|---|---|
M. R. Orchard 2005 | P1 elements are carminale or segminate, the former with a short downturned posterior process; P2 elements are angulate with a strongly reduced posterior process. Bipennate S3-S4 elements are similar but differ in the relative length of, and degree of, downturning and inturning of the anterior process. Both S1 and S2 are digyratc with a long denticulate antero-lateral process with distal denticles forming a high crest; the shorter process of the S2 element is a downward-directed 'anticusp'. The modified alate S0 element has two antero-lateral processes branching from the denticle in front of the cusp. |
