Taxonomy
Taita lawsi was named by Maxwell (1988). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is J32/f7585 - Stillwater Mudstone, Karoro Brickworks Quarry, which is in a Waiauan deep-water siltstone in the Stillwater Mudstone Formation of New Zealand.
