Durotrigensia was named as a genus. It is not extant. Its type is Ammonites dorsetensis.
It was synonymized subjectively with Parkinsonia by Besnosov and Mitta (1993); it was reranked as Parkinsonia (Durotrigensia) by Dietze (2000) and Zatoń (2010).
It was assigned to Parkinsoniidae by Arkell et al. (1957); to Ammonoidea by Sepkoski (2002); and to Parkinsonia by Dietze (2000) and Zatoń (2010).
