Tridigitichnus inopinatus
Taxonomy
Tridigitichnus inopinatus was named by Casamiquela (1994). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is CICRN 15-IV-78-1, a footprint, and it is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Monton-ilo tracksite, which is in a Campanian/Maastrichtian floodplain sandstone in the Angostura Colorada Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Tridigitichnus.
