Taxonomy
Arctops kitchingi was named by Sigogneau (1970). Its type specimen is BP/1/265, a skull (Poorly preserved skull), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Leeufontein, Murraysburg, which is in a Wuchiapingian terrestrial siliciclastic in South Africa.
