Kuhnemys maortuensis

Taxonomy
Aspideretes maortuensis was named by Yeh (1965). Its type specimen is IVPP V 2864, a set of postcrania, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Maortu, which is in a Turonian terrestrial horizon in the Ulansuhai Formation of China. It is the type species of Kuhnemys.

It was recombined as Dogania maortuensis by Karl (1999); it was recombined as Kuhnemys maortuensis by Chkhikvadze (1999) and Georgalis and Joyce (2017).
