Gauthiericeras nouelianum
Taxonomy
Ammonites nouelianus was named by d'Orbigny (1850). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is La Vallée de la Roche, southeast of St. Paterne-Racan (d'Orbigny collection), which is in a Coniacian carbonate limestone in the Craie de Villedieu Formation of France.
It was recombined as Gauthiericeras nouelianum by Kennedy (1984) and Kennedy (1995).
