Testudo shilouensis
Taxonomy
Testudo shilouensis was named by Hsu et al. (1973). Its type specimen is IVPP V 4027, a partial skeleton (anterior two-thirds carapace and plastron), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Testudo shilouensis type locality, which is in a Miocene terrestrial horizon in the Baode Formation of China.
