Taxonomy
Glyptoxoceras souqueti was named by Collignon (1983). Its type specimen is UPST MB 24, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Route from Sougraigne to Les Croutets (UPST collection, paraplanum subzone), which is in a Santonian carbonate marl in France.
