Crispoceras crispum

Taxonomy
Goniatites crispus was named by Barrande (1865). Its type specimen is CM L7900, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Koneprusy (Suchomasty Lst, Barrande collection), which is in an Emsian carbonate limestone in the Suchomasty Formation of the Czech Republic. It is the type species of Werneroceras (Crispoceras).

It was recombined as Werneroceras (Crispoceras) crispum by Chlupac and Turek (1983); it was recombined as Crispoceras crispum by Korn and Klug (2002).
