Cypraea (Conocypraea) persona was named by Oppenheim (1901) [Given as Cypraea ? persona initially.]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Marna di Possagno Formation, which is in a Priabonian offshore siltstone in the Marna di Possagno Formation of Italy.
It was recombined as Zonaria persona by Schilder (1932); it was recombined as Cypraeacites persona by Dolin (1991).
