Hespererato chipolana

Taxonomy
Erato chipolana was named by Maury (1910). Its type specimen is PRI 3464, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is TU 555 - Fourmile Creek [Chipola Fm], which is in a Burdigalian marine marl/sandstone in the Chipola Formation of Florida.

It was recombined as Erato (Hespererato) chipolana by Gardner (1947); it was recombined as Hespererato chipolana by Dolin (1991) and Fehse and Landau (2002).
