Taxonomy
Cypraea (Jenneria) transovuloides was named by Schilder (1927). Its type specimen is ANSP 8583, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Transovula (Oxycypraea) transovuloides by Palmer (1937); it was recombined as Oxycypraea (Oxycypraea) transovuloides by Palmer and Brann (1965); it was recombined as Cypropterina transovuloides by Perrilliat et al. (2003).
